Another project to get rid of scrap yarn! Thought about writing a professional pattern for this project. May do it later. Nevertheless, I did write out my notes on my ravelry page. If you have any questions, just message me. :)

Hi there all! I’ve been up to my ears in crocodile stitch.

Here’s another project from the big ol’ art bag of yarn. I first knitted a pattern from Nichola Thompson called the spidery tank. But I knitted it in cotton and it ended up being too bulky. So, I frogged the project and started a new one for the home. I’ve fallen in love with the crocodile stitch, so I decided to make a hot pad and some plate cloths (name escapes me at the moment of what they’re really called). It was an improv design, so I apologize for not having a pattern for you all. I’ve titled it “Here Fishy Fishy”.

Oh yes, almost forgot to blog about this small project for project “Minus Yarn”. I got the pattern from Cotton & Cloud. I purchased the Knitted Purse Kit for my mother a few months back for her birthday. Her response was, “I’m going to be a pretty fancy grandmother.”

{No phone calls please. Nope, not pregnant. Just her planting “hints”.}

Another project to add to the docket of project “Minus Yarn”. :)

First it was penguins, still elephants, but add now owls to the list of animals I’m crazy for. This is my first crochet piece. I heard that crocheting takes up almost twice as much yarn as knitting. And since I’m trying to get rid of my stash - this seemed a very likely idea. And boy was it fun! I added a cloth backing with owls just to add to the crazy.

Project “Minus Yarn” is underway. {Thought about making a logo of a cake of yarn with a helmet or a yarn ball that looked like a grenade…but thought, “eh”…}

Here’s a little somethin’ somethin’ I did for the ladies in my life. If you’re a friend & if I catch you soon for lunch, you may be getting a little knitted jewelry frame. Made with love…and extra yarn. :)

I don’t know what it is about the 3-5-1-3 pattern that gets me? At times, I seem to run all over the beats, turning the 5 into a 7. With the constant practicing, other members of my household are happy that I have knitted up these covers for my cymbals. They keep the sound muffled, while still allowing a small “ching” sound to occur.
I promise I’ll have a DIY in knit and crochet up soon for these. Furthermore, Lily gave me permission to do a DIY spot for a tribal bra! Thanks so much, Lily! In the next month or so, I plan on designing a halter. I’m in the design incubation process at the moment. I’ll share my sketches with you so you know what direction I’m heading. All in a “days” work. :)
p.s. I may have a giveaway of these knitted zill covers! Keep posted.
p.s.s. The red ones were given to Suhaila! {Took her multi level workshop in early March.}
p.s.s.s. My other blog dedicated to bellydance is well on it’s way!

See that big art bag? It’s about waist high and filled with cakes of yarn!

Being an {ahem} “one project knitter”, I’m quite embarrassed to have so much yarn. So much yarn that it fills a bag half my height! I’ve told myself that I will not purchase any more yarn until I finish every thread of yarn left in that bag. Whew! This is going to take a while! But I’m excited with all the small projects I can do that won’t consume all my free time.

Here’s an excellent example! A sushi toilet paper roll cover knitted in a few hours off and on. Love laughed when I showed it to him. He then promptly asked if I was going to make another one for our master bath. I love my Love.

Patterns used: S’mores toilet paper roll cover to get the shape (casted on 72 sts). And used Sushi for the Bathroom on Ravelry for ideas.
